Terms of Service

By using Vaultove you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully, especially the sections on account security and data ownership.

Version: TOS-1.0Effective: February 14, 2026Updated: February 14, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Vaultove ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Vaultove service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must be of legal age to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are using Vaultove on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on that entity's behalf.

Service scope

Vaultove provides an encrypted vault for storing and managing credentials, secrets, and sensitive data. The service is delivered as-is while we continuously improve security, reliability, and features.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of changes that materially affect paid features. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated via our status page.

We make no guarantees of specific uptime beyond what is stated in any separate service level agreement applicable to your plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vaultove to:

  • Store or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, or violates third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service.
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of our infrastructure without prior written authorization.
  • Circumvent authentication or access controls, or attempt to access another user's account.
  • Use automated scripts to abuse API rate limits or degrade service availability.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without a separate written agreement.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension. We will cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.

Account and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and master password. Your master password is the key to your encrypted vault. Vaultove cannot recover or reset your master password — if it is lost without a recovery key, the vault data encrypted under that password cannot be decrypted.

A recovery key is generated at account creation. Store it in a secure location separate from your master password. It is the only mechanism to re-access your vault if your master password is lost.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at security@vaultove.com.

Billing and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle selected at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable plan fee at the start of each billing period.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time, except where required by applicable law.

Plan features, limits, and prices are listed on the pricing page and may change. We will provide reasonable notice before price increases take effect for existing subscribers.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Vaultove does not store full card details. Billing disputes should be directed to hello@vaultove.com.

Vault data

You own your vault data. We act as a storage medium for encrypted ciphertext and have no ability to access the plaintext contents of your vault.

You can export an encrypted backup of your vault at any time from within the app. We recommend keeping an offline backup, especially before making account changes or cancelling your subscription.

Upon account deletion, encrypted vault data is removed from our servers within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account is irreversible — ensure you have exported any data you wish to retain before proceeding.

Disclaimers

Vaultove is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted access, or freedom from errors. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability and security.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vaultove shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss resulting from loss of your master password or recovery key.

Security of your vault ultimately depends on the strength and secrecy of your master password. We strongly recommend using a unique, high-entropy master password stored only in your memory or a personal, offline record.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms over time. We will notify registered users via email of material changes at least 14 days before the updated Terms take effect, unless a shorter notice period is required by law.

Continued use of Vaultove after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised agreement.
